If you know me personally, you may have heard me talking some smack on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo before giving it a chance. Without doing my research, I expected a cliched portrayal of a tortured “rebel,” but the film presented something with far more depth than I anticipated.
And now I find myself fascinated, not necessarily just with the story’s lead character, but with Rooney Mara’s take on Lisbeth Salander.
I was taken with the actress’ honest portrayal of the character–tough, yet so broken and fragile.
