There is one event that has me totally psyched at the moment, and that event is Catwalk Tragedy. For those of you unfamiliar with it, it can be best summarized as a pageant for all you alternative beauties out there (both women and men). or rather, a showcase for alternative models, whether you’re seasoned and inexperienced.
And when I say alternative beauty pageant, don’t be limited by the image of cliche rail-thin models, just with the additional tattoos and neon-colored hair. What I love about this event is that its contestants really do seem to run the gamut in terms of body type, style, and modeling expertise.
Catwalk Tragedy is a touring event, and their next stop? NYC on Feb 11. As far as I know, they still might be accepting contestant applications. You get to strut around stage in lovely creations by TrippNYC, as well as some indie designers. And the judging panel includes our favorite ladies, Mosh and Aprella.
I hope to make it at least as a spectator to the NYC event, since my best friend will be entering. However, whenever they make their way to Philly I’m hoping to enter as well. We shall see…
