Time To Give Unto Others (And Maybe Get A Little Somethin’ For Yourself)

Happy December, friends. I’m knee deep in Christmas gifting/shopping, but not in that reluctant, obligatory way that it can often morph into. I’m making a lot of gifts this year–someone asked for a handmade doll, I’m making someone else a customized pair of gloves, and I recently lured one of my friends into the addictive world of Monster High dolls, and I’m making tiny necklaces  for all six of her dolls (ah, lovely ridiculousness).

Speaking of making things, you may have noticed that there’s now an “Online Shop” page on the blog. If you hadn’t already seen the posts on my Twitter and Facebook, well you now know that my shop is up and running! From now until Christmas, I’ll be adding new items every Monday. Here’s a look at some of the items up for grabs:

The necklace is finally for sale, though not the boy (sorry).

Pins and brooches

Vintage clothing

And jewelry galore

In the midst of making all these spooky items, I kind of got the urge to get a gift for myself. Autumnlin, a designer whose name I often mention on here, was having a sale–$125 worth of accessories for $47. Hell yessss. This pic only shows half the items I received, and I have to say, I’m beyond stoked to have an excuse to start rocking lace suspenders and a tie.

Well, good luck surviving the holiday season, ya’ll. I started decorating for Christmas just yesterday, and I’m striving for a half traditional/half goth Christmas. I currently have my black spraypainted tree drying in the backyard. There will be pictures of that, for sure…
