Over the weekend I was perusing Patricia Field’s boutique, and as usual, her designs elicited a where have you been all my life response. This Golden Cat Wig should explain it all (amazingly expensive, but glorious):
If the name Patria Field doesn’t ring a bell, the stylist and designer is best known for her work costuming the ladies of Sex and the City, on both the television show and feature films. And I’ll unashamedly admit that I’ve always been a big SATC fan, but once I discovered that Ms. Field is an utterly badass punk rock glitter bomb, I couldn’t help but love her even more.
Shimmering bodysuits, studded bustiers, bleached jeans, hand-painted leggings and neon wigs and lashes–it’s all VERY trashy 80s glam, which I know is not for everyone, but totally has me sold.
So what do you think–too much tacky glitz, or just enough? You already know my answer…
