Alright, now let’s enter the realm of all things impractical (not like that’s anything new, eh?) and take a look at the super blingin, ultra luxe headgear by Deryck Todd. I actually found them opulently hideous at first glance, but after finding this beautiful Vogue Italia editorial, I began to see their charm (when placed atop pretty lady’s head, at least).
Each hat is heavy on detail–metal studs, plastic crystals, chain links, copper medallions, and absurdly prominent gems. I suppose they’re right up my very loud and gaudy alley.
And not surprisingly, it’s the Swarovski crystal-encrusted motorcycle helmut that I have my eye on. Just a meager $2995. Oi…
