Amy Currie&#8217;s new Lydia Deetz-inspired line is the epitome of creepy cute, so I should love it, right? But something about it holds me back from swooning&#8211;I think I like the idea far more than the application.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/petephillipsonline.com\/fashionvandals\/?attachment_id=5336\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5336\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"deetz-playsuit-penelope-web\" src=\"https:\/\/petephillipsonline.com\/fashionvandals\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/deetz-playsuit-penelope-web.jpg\" width=\"504\" height=\"779\" \/><\/a><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Let me start off by saying, it certainly does not fail at being creepy. But when I hear a designer is taking notes from Beetlejuice, awkward dog illustrations are the last thing on my mind. Even so, I can&#8217;t necessarily hold that against it&#8211;I have to give the designer credit for indulging in the unexpected.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/petephillipsonline.com\/fashionvandals\/?attachment_id=5337\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5337\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"deetz-top-lola-web\" src=\"https:\/\/petephillipsonline.com\/fashionvandals\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/deetz-top-lola-web.jpg\" width=\"506\" height=\"783\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t, however, need to give the designer credit for her odd choice of fabrics (casual rompers made of white silk? no&#8230;). And are we still not done with Peter Pan collars? Blahh&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/petephillipsonline.com\/fashionvandals\/?attachment_id=5335\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5335\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5335\" alt=\"deetz-top-mr-and-mrs-web\" src=\"https:\/\/petephillipsonline.com\/fashionvandals\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/deetz-top-mr-and-mrs-web.jpg\" width=\"502\" height=\"776\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, Currie has created a collection that has undoubtedly managed to catch my attention, and even somewhat confuse me. I don&#8217;t hate it, but there aren&#8217;t any pieces I&#8217;d actually want to wear myself.
